We developed a mixed use proposal for three retail units,
ideal for artisans, fronting onto Liverpool Road, set within
an enhanced public realm with retained mature trees, hard
landscaped seating areas and on-site car parking. The upper
floors house a mixture of one and two bedroom apartments
over a further four storeys, culminating in a roof top garden.
The design response was to create a simple
and contemporary brick building, well proportioned
and detailed, with large windows and a restricted
palette of materials. The architecture draws influence
from the local vernacular and is intended as a catalyst
for the ambitious regeneration of the area and the
creation of Cadishead Village.
